Why Is Liam Holding This Picture of a Chinese Baby?!?!????

Our crazy head Liam is turning FIVE on Sunday. Every year,for his birthday, we "gave up" his birthday for a cause, usually charity:water ( here is an old post: (Giving Up Liam's Bday 2010).
This year, we are giving up his birthday to help our friends Stacie & Sam along with their daughters Alexis & Aubrie, bring home their son/brother  Gage ZiChen from China. Gage's first birthday was Sept 5. He waits for his family to come and get him.
   Stacie & Sam have been big supporters of not only our adoption of Hunter, but others as well, as regular givers to Frank's Fund For the Fatherless. Sam is an Army Blackhawk pilot who just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan a few weeks ago.
This family is awesome.
They are also next in line to receive a grant from Frank's Fund. However, after this month's grant is written out to another family..... the funds are gone. And travel to China to pick up Gage is 4-6 weeks away. THEY NEED FUNDS.

My Liam will celebrate turning 5 on Sunday. He is 22 months and 3 days into his life as a fatherless child.  Gage turned 1 inside an orphanage last week.  Soon he gets to start a new life as a son, a brother, a grandchild, a nephew, a doted on little loved one . SO SOON.  Liam understands and knows about orphans, he has his whole life. He understands that while we have lost his precious Daddy, he and his brother & sister are safe,warm,fed, loved on, provided for, taken care of. My children KNOW things could be so much worse. And they LOVE the opportunity to help other kids who have lost their parents in some way. Adoption tore a hole in our hearts before we ever brought Hunter home. It tore the hole bigger when we had to let him go. I'll admit right now, I try to fill it by helping other families achieve their adoption plan. And so far, Frank's Fund for the Fatherless has helped 5 families do that. That's EIGHT children, from Ethiopia, Uganda, United States & China, that are sleeping in their beds in a house with their families tonight because of YOUR donations.

For Liam's birthday, we are asking you to consider giving a generous gift to Frank's Fund For the Fatherless, to help fund Gage's grant and possibly other families grants as well. Join us in saying NO to more Legos, and YES to one less orphan. :)
